Robotic deburring is an efficient way to remove burrs from workpieces, but it can present challenges:

Burrs Left Behind

A workpiece shows burrs left behind by deburring tool

Cutting Too Deep/Over-Shaving

A workpiece of metal shows what happens when a deburring tool over shaves a part

Complex Robotic Teaching

Automate deburring can present challenges with teaching the robot

These problems arise from variances in the robot trajectory, differences in the workpiece shape, and position variations from the processing reference point.

Barriquan was engineered to give you the flexibility to automate deburring for cast parts.

The tilt-floating mechanism allows Barriquan to adapt to variations in feed speed, workpiece shape and dimensional variations, and mounting errors. Ensuring the blade maintains optimal, constant pressure, it easily handles high-speed deburring without over-shaving or the need for program corrections.

KEY FEATURES OF BRQ-EL01

360° Advanced Tilt Floating Mechanism for Precision Deburring

Our built-in tilt floating mechanism moves freely in a 360° radial direction while tilting, allowing the blade to conform to the shape of the workpiece. This ensures high-speed, stable quality deburring.

The tilt floating mechanism operates under a constant load, thanks to its 360° tilt capability. With a highly responsive centripetal force at the axis center, the blade follows complex, curved shapes typical of cast parts, achieving high-speed deburring.

Additionally, the tilt floating mechanism adapts to variations in shape dimensions, eliminating the need for program corrections. This ensures consistent quality without over-cutting.

Adjustable Air Floating Technology

Using air pressure to maintain consistent pressure during automated deburring

The BRQ-EL01 model features an air-floating mechanism that adjusts the blade pressing force based on the supplied air pressure. This allows for complete burr removal without over-shaving.

By simply changing the air pressure, you can tailor the cutting conditions based on burr size and material. Even for surface burrs, the base material remains intact while ensuring reliable burr removal.

Equipped with a dedicated spindle motor for radial loads and intermittent processing

The BRQ-EL01 has a durable spindle motor that ensures reliable deburring even in harsh environments where radial processing loads are intermittently applied.

The dedicated spindle motor is built to withstand long periods of high loads.
